About Comp2Kids
Comp2Kids is committed to empowering families through education and technology. By opening the door
to technology with home computers and basic training, Comp2Kids is helping to bridge the digital divide
in low-income communities. Comp2Kids was inspired by the premise that if every teacher used technology in
the classroom and students in low-income schools had a home computer, the entire teaching and learning
experience at both school and home can be improved.
Comp2Kids has successfully trained and distributed computers to
over 2000 personal computers to students and teachers. By the end
of 2008, Comp2Kids will support 6 schools in The Bronx, Manhattan,
Brooklyn and Queens. The success of the program is a testament to
the hard work and dedication of our generous supporters and volunteers,
who are committed to connecting all children to technology across New York City.
