From one classroom in the South Bronx to a national talent accelerator, Per Scholas has spent over three decades proving that talent is everywhere and just needs a pathway to opportunity. Today, we've trained 35,000+ professionals nationwide, and built a model that the nation's leading employers, funders, and policymakers trust to deliver.

1995
Where It All Began: John Hoyt Stookey and Lewis E. Miller founded Per Scholas in the South Bronx with one mission: make technology a pathway to economic power for people the system had left behind.

2010s
A National Movement: What started in New York grew into something the country needed, with campuses in Atlanta, Cincinnati, Columbus, and more, each rooted in local community and backed by national support.
