What is IT Support?

Every business depends on technology working, and when it doesn't, IT Support professionals are the ones who fix it.

By the end of the training, you'll be able to:

  • Troubleshoot computers, operating systems, networks, and software using industry-standard support processes.
  • Configure user accounts, printers, devices, and workplace technology.
  • Support end users through realistic workplace scenarios before you ever take a real help desk call.
  • Prepare for your job search – building a tailored resume, practicing technical and behavioral interviews, and developing the confidence to present your skills – with guidance from dedicated career coaches.

Is This Right for You?

  • You may be successful in this training if you want to start or grow a career in IT and you:

    • Have basic computer skills and are ready for an accelerated learning experience
    • Naturally ask, "Why isn't this working?" and enjoy finding solutions
    • Are a patient problem solver who enjoys helping others
    • Can commit 35 hours weekly to instruction, labs, and career prep (plus 10–20 hours studying outside class).

What You'll Learn

  • By the end of training, you'll be able to:

    • Troubleshoot laptops, desktops, printers, mobile devices, and software issues.
    • Set up operating systems, user accounts, network connections, and basic cloud tools.
    • Diagnose problems, document issues, and follow support steps to resolve technical requests.
    • Support users and resolve software problems remotely using remote access technologies.
    • Recognize common security risks and apply steps to protect workstations and mobile devices.

How You'll Learn

Build confidence by practicing the same types of technical problems you'll encounter on the job.

  • Hands-On Training

Every lesson begins with a real workplace scenario. Your instructor demonstrates the problem, guides you through the solution, and then you apply what you've learned in hands-on labs before solving similar challenges independently. You'll also work through hardware builds, network configurations, and system troubleshooting in a live lab environment – the same core skills tested on the CompTIA A+ certification exam.

  • Career Preparation

Throughout the training, you'll complete practical projects, receive instructor feedback, and work one-on-one with career coaches to prepare your resume, practice interviewing, and confidently launch your job search.

Career Opportunities After Training

  • After completing the program, you'll be prepared to pursue entry-level positions such as:

    • IT Support Analyst
    • IT Technician
    • Computer Support Specialist

In these roles, you'll help people solve technology problems by troubleshooting computers, supporting workplace software, connecting devices to networks, resolving technical support requests, and keeping organizations productive.

  • Your Career Can Grow From Here

Many graduates begin their careers in IT Support before advancing into specialized technology fields such as IT Security Technician, System Administrator or Network and Computer Systems Administrator. IT Support builds the technical foundation that opens doors throughout the technology industry, including future paths in cybersecurity, networking, and cloud.

  • What to Expect

    • Most graduates begin in entry-level on-site or hybrid positions while gaining professional experience supporting users and workplace technology.
    • Remote entry-level IT positions do exist but are typically more competitive and may require additional experience.
    • Your first role is the beginning of your technology career – not the destination.
